Join a ranger for an easy, short hike (~0.5 miles) to learn all about these patriotic predators.
Get answers to questions like: How did the bald eagle become the mascot of the United States? What adaptations allow the bald eagle to thrive at Lake Somerville State Park? And how can we contribute to the preservation of bald eagle populations?
When: Saturday, September 5 from 8:30 to 9:30am
Meet: Eagle Point Trailhead
Bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, binoculars, cameras
This event is free with park entry: $5 per person, kids 12 & under free. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Day passes can be purchased at self-pay kiosks or ahead of time through our reservation engine.
