Move your body in tandem with your breath on the shores of Lake Somerville under the leadership of an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200)
Join us on the shores of Lake Somerville for a gentle yoga experience. This 60-minute practice will include both meditation and breathwork. The practice will be accessible to most bodies that are able to safely get down onto the ground and get back to their feet. The focus of the practice may be energetic or anatomical, and the movements will be targeted toward the specific pain points of the people in the group.
This practice will be at the old Picnic Pavilion # 1 in the Cedar Elm Day-Use Area. Please bring a yoga mat, two foam or cork yoga blocks (if you have them –we’ll have a limited number to share for participants who do not have blocks) and drinking water.
The teacher will be Birch Creek Site Superintendent Chris Bishop. In addition to being a career public lands employee, Chris is a registered yoga and meditation teacher, and he holds certifications as a breathwork facilitator, a nutrition coach and a flexibility coach. He is trained in vinyasa, yin, chair and gravity yoga.
