Step into one of Texas’ most unique and diverse landscapes on a guided hike through the Post Oak Savannah. Along the trail, you’ll learn how post oak woodlands and native prairie grasses work together to support deer, songbirds, pollinators, and countless other species.
We’ll make several stops to look closely at key trees, grasses, and habitat features while discussing conservation challenges and the role each of us can play in protecting these lands. Come discover the beauty, resilience, and ecological significance of the Post Oak Savannah!
When: Saturday, September 19 from 10:30 to 11:30am
Meet: Honeybee Hill Trailhead
Bring: Water, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen
This event is free with park entry: $5 per person, kids 12 & under free. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
