Join us for a day of nature, learning, and celebration! Lake Somerville Fall Festival 2024, our first event to celebrate the fall season!

Welcome to the Lake Somerville Fall Festival 2024, our first event to celebrate the fall season! This festival is a celebration and an educational journey for nature enthusiasts, educators, and families to explore and learn about Lake Somerville State Park's natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Held at the scenic Nails Creek Unit, this event fosters a connection to nature and inspires conservation efforts.

Featured Exhibitors & Activities:

*Cowboy Country Life– Horseback Riding Adventure (Additional charge)
*Dutch Oven Cooking with Uncle Mike:
- 10:00 AM – Conversation/Show & Tell
- 11:00 AM – Samples
- 12:00 PM – Cooking/Show & Tell

- 2:00 PM – Conversation/Show & Tell
*Educational Plant Walkabouts led by Mark Merriwether Vorderbruggen, Ph.D. (Medicine Man Plant Co.)

Entrance Fee: $5 per person (ages 13 and over)

Important Information:
Visitors can purchase day passes up to one month in advance, guaranteeing access to the park even during busy times. To purchase a day pass or to reserve a campsite, visit the Texas State Parks Reservation System.
