Reds and yellows, oranges and blues, spend golden hour with all of the hues!
Join us for a short and scenic 0.7-mile hike along the Overlook Trail. We'll make our way to the overlook platform just in time to watch the sun slip below the horizon, casting golden light across Lake Somerville.
Along the way, we'll explore the science behind sunsets and learn about the crepuscular critters that become active at dusk. This hike is perfect for anyone hoping to capture stunning golden hour photos or enjoy a peaceful evening outdoors.
When: Saturday, September 26 from 6:30 to 7:30pm
Meet: Rocky Point/Overlook Trailhead
Bring: Water, closed-toe shoes, cameras, bug spray
This event is free with park entry: $5 per person, kids 12 & under free. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Day passes can be purchased at our Self-Pay Kiosk or ahead of time on our reservation engine.
