Peer into the world of little bugs and big battles in this fascinating walk!

Join a Master Naturalist to meet your backyard bugs, and explore how insects fight for survival in the bug eat bug world of Lockhart State Park! All ages welcome.

Prepare: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Bring water and apply sunscreen or bug repellent, as needed. No registration required.

Meet: Meet your guide at the Creekview Trailhead. If driving from park headquarters, take your first left-hand turn, pass the campgrounds, and park along the paved loop.

Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult and free for children 12 & under).

This hike is part of the Wild Walk Adventure Series, which includes a guided nature hike at 10am every Saturday from March 2nd to June 1st. The Wild Walk Adventure Series is brought to you by the Lost Pines Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists volunteer organization (click here to learn more) in partnership with Lockhart State Park.
