Peer into the world of little bugs and big battles in this fascinating walk! Registration required.

Join a Master Naturalist to meet your backyard bugs, and explore how insects fight for survival in the bug eat bug world of Lockhart State Park! All ages welcome.

Registration: Program is limited to 10 participants, so registration is required. Please call park HQ at 512-398-3479 during business hours (8am-5pm daily) to register for this program.

Prepare: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes. Masks are highly encouraged. Bring water and apply sunscreen or bug repellent, as needed. The hike is 3/4-mile on moderate terrain.

Meet: Meet your guide at the Creekview Trailhead. If driving from park headquarters, take your first left-hand turn, pass the campgrounds, and park along the paved loop.

Fees: This program is free with paid entry to the park. Regular park entrance fees are $3/adult, free for children 12 & under.

This hike is brought to you by the Lost Pines Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists volunteer organization (click here to learn more) in partnership with Lockhart State Park.
