Holiday Stargazing

7:00p to 8:30p
Sat, December 29, 2018
Chris Dooley

Take a new look at the winter sky!

The long winter nights are a perfect time stargazing, so come out the the park and enjoy the crisp temperatures, clear skies, and hopefully fewer mosquitoes.  Join a Park Ranger for a telescope tour of the stars, planets, galaxies, and constellations that mark our winter sky!  Drop in anytime between 7:00pm and 8:30pm, weather permitting (at least 60% of the sky must be free of clouds).

Prepare: Bring blankets, coats, and other supplies for the cold!  Binoculars and flashlights may come in handy as well.

Meet: Drive across the bridge, park along the road, and walk up onto the golf course -- look for our Christmas lights.

Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under). After hours, please use the self-pay station located by the Park Headquarters.
