2nd Saturday Hike: The Great Backyard Bird Count!

Be a part of a world-wide bird count!

The Great Backyard Bird Count brings the world together to help study our feathered friends. Learn how you can participate at your home and how to record your sightings to help scientists study population health. 

Learn to identify birds by sight and sound.

We will walk the Old Henderson Road Trail looking for woodland and water birds. Bring binoculars if you have them, or we have a few loaner pairs.

Dress for the weather and be ready for a 1-mile walk.

Subject to cancellation for bad weather. 

Free with paid park admission of $4 person 13 and older; 12 and under are free.
