Lace up your hiking boots and join a ranger as we take a short hike on the Island Trail. Let's go on a lightning bug hunt to find this tiny beetle that blinks their own secret code!
Bring your sense of adventure and imagination!
- Date and Time: Friday, July 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM till 9:00 PM
- Where: Meet at Island Bridge
- Bring: Bring water, a flashlight, dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bug spray.
- Cost: Program free with paid admission $4 for adults 13+ and FREE 12 & under (Park entry free with Texas State Park Pass)
