EXPERIENCED PADDLERS ONLY- 12 MILE PADDLE TRIP

Paddle the gorgeous Angelina River with our two volunteers, Mark and Gerald, ending at MDJSP!

NOTE:

This is a 12-MILE paddle trip where you may be paddling with, without, or against a current. Please assess your own physical capabilities as to whether you can do this trip in its entirety.

You will meet the guides BEFORE 9:00am at Bevilport (directions below) to unload equipment, lunch, etc. etc. Once your gear is unloaded, you will then drive to MDJSP to park your vehicle (day pass MUST be purchased to park inside park boundaries) where either Mark or Gerald will shuttle you back to the Bevilport boat launch.

As this will be a long day, this trip will leave PROMPTLY at 9:00am, whether you are ready or not.

You MUST have your own life jacket, paddles, and kayak or canoe. We will NOT be providing gear. For the safety of yourself and us, and without knowing the full conditions of the river, I will NOT be allowing paddleboards on this trip.

SIGN UPs REQUIRED for this trip by emailing Ranger Kathryn at Kathryn.brainerd@tpwd.texas.gov or calling 409-698-6636.

PLEASE BRING: lunch and snacks, beverages, hat, sunscreen, and camera.

DIRECTIONS from MDJSP headquarters:

Take a right out of the park onto 190, drive 2.8 mile and take a left onto FM 1747. Stay on 1747 for 4.1 miles. Take a left onto 2799 and drive 1.7 miles to the boat launch.
