Meet Dexter the Corn Snake

Experience an up-close encounter with Dexter, the corn snake, and discover all about local snakes.

Explore the park's slithery-est reptiles, the snakes! We'll discover what makes a reptile unique, and meet one up close. Ask lots of questions during this close up experience.

Dexter is fed every other week! Your program may include a feeding demonstration

When: 1pm

Where: NEW Amphitheater (please note, the amphitheater is not yet on our maps. It is located by the Group Hall and near the Walnut Ridge Boat Ramp)

Cost: This event is free with the purchase of a $4 day pass or a Texas State Park Pass.

Reminder: There are no restrooms near this area so plan accordingly. This program is weather dependent and may be canceled if conditions are unfavorable.
