Join Ranger Amy to learn all about food chains. We'll discuss what a food chain is, play an interactive food web game and dissect an owl pellet.A family dissects owl pellets at a table.

When: Thursday, February 10th, 10 am - 12:00 pm 

Where: Martin Dies, Jr. State Park Education Center/Nature Center on Walnut Ridge Unit.

What to know: This program will be indoors. 

Cost: The program is free, but if you plan on staying in the park after the program then you must obtain a park entry permit. Entrance fees are paid at Park Headquarters and are $4 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free. Bring your Texas state park pass to waive entry fees. If you bring exact cash you can fill out a self-pay envelope at the nature center.

*A small donation ($2 - $5) to the nature center for this program is encouraged to help cover the cost of owl pellets.
