Nature Journal: Illustrating Insects

3:00p to 4:00p
Thu, October 19, 2023
Ranger Katy
(409) 698-6636

Our favorite creepy crawlies come in all shapes and forms. Discover the many different features of insects and practice illustrating specimens that won’t crawl away.

Every order of insect has features that make them unique. We’ll explore the basic attributes of different types of insects. We’ll take plenty of time observing pinned insects to understand these features better and add insect illustrations to our nature journals. You can bring your own nature journal or use a piece of paper from us.

Participants of all ages are welcome to attend. This program is best suited for those who can sit and sketch for 10+ minutes at a time. This program may include indoor or outdoor activities.
