Marvel at the Moon (Weather Permitting)

6:00p to 7:30p
Sat, December 11, 2021
Lauren Sweat
(512) 243-1643

Join a ranger and take a look at our closest celestial neighbor, the moon, through a telescope! If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll search for night time critters instead.

Take a closer look at our nearest celestial neighbor! Discover the stories and science behind our largest satellite - the Moon! Peer through a telescope at the surface of the moon, find out how its craters formed, and hear ancient stories.

Meet: Amphitheater
Bring: a flashlight with a red light (no white lights or light-up shoes please! Extra light that isn't red harms our night vision). Water and close-toed shoes.

Event is free with paid entrance fees; (Adults: $6, Children 12 and under: Free!)
