Take a trip back in time and kick back like a pioneer!

***This event has been cancelled at the recommendation of TPWD senior staff in order to mitigate the risk of gathering in groups at this time.***

Explore the festival grounds beneath the pines and interact with knowledgeable presenters that bring our past to life!

Learn about the crafts, skills, trades, and history that helped early frontier Texans survive and thrive. There is fun to be had for the whole family, with folks from both inside and outside TPWD hosting a slew of activities for all ages--- including our Atlatl range!

Try your luck at our raffle to win some one of a kind items, and bid on special silent auction items! All proceeds go to our non-profit volunteer support group--- the Friends of Mission Tejas! This core group of dedicated volunteers help us keep our park vibrant, entertaining, and ever improving.

Meet: At the Festival Grounds, behind the Rice Log Home. Parking will be directed.

Duration: Festival runs from 10AM – 3PM, come and go as you please!

What to Bring: Bring water, bug spray, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, and be ready to party like a pioneer!

*** Entry to the Folk Festival is FREE, but donations to the Friend's of MTSP are appreciated! ***
