Don’t be an egghead, come learn about nests and build your very own!
Come build your own bird’s nest out of natural materials found in the Pineywoods.
- This activity is great for children, hands-on learners, and anyone who enjoys a fun experience for their tactile senses!
Remember, we can’t gather materials from inside the park. Our nests will be made of invasive or donated native plant materials, so we can celebrate the East Texas landscape while protecting it.
Meet: At the Visitor’s Center.
Difficulty: Young participants might need adult assistance, rangers will also be there to help!
Duration: The program takes under an hour, depending on pace and questions.
What to Bring: Appropriate clothing + footwear for crafts, and a sharp beak!
