Sat, May 04, 2019
Jared Shamburger

Hang out with a Ranger and drop a line into the historic San Pedro Creek!

CANCELLED due to park closure until Monday 5/6/19, severe weather damage park wide.

Many visitors enjoy fishing the CCC Pond, but San Pedro Creek is just a short hike from the Mission and offers a totally different angling experience! Come on out and try your luck!

- All ages and skill levels, from inexperienced to angler, are welcome!

- Bait will be provided while supplies last, and the park will have an assortment of rods for public use- first come first serve. But feel free to bring your own bait and tackle.

- There will be two prizes for the biggest catch by length, one for ages 11 and under and another for 12 and beyond!

- Whether you’re learning a new skill or honing your craft as a sportsman, enjoy your park by casting out into one of lesser known features of Mission Tejas State Park.

Meet at the Mission!

Participants are advised to bring water, bug spray, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, their own gear if they desire, and their luck fishing hat! Remember, no license is needed for fishing from the bank on waters fully enclosed with a Texas State Park.

***Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping
