What superpowers allow pines to tower over ETX?

From far before the days of the Caddo to modern day Texas, pines have towered over the lands of Mission Tejas. But have you ever wondered how? Or why?

- Join us on a guided hike to explore the adaptations that make pines number one in the forests of East Texas!

- Remember for now programs are RSVP only! To save your spot call the park, email Ranger Jared, or talk to the staff at Park HQ. If spots fill, there may be a repeat in the afternoon.

Meet: At the Mission

Difficulty: This slightly over 1 mile hike is considered easy to moderate with some brief, steep hills on the trail.

Duration: The program will take about an hour, depending on pace and questions.

What to Bring: Water, bug spray, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, and a have a face covering with you.

***Attendance to this event is open to the public and free AFTER regular day use or camping fees. ***
