Tea is not just limited to Chai, English Breakfast or iced sweet tea. One native tea that has been enjoyed for centuries by many peoples is Yaupon Tea. Did you know that Yaupon Holly is one of the only native plants in Texas that naturally has caffeine in its leaves?

Come to the park and try out some Yaupon Tea made by park staff and discover how you can safely make your own!

Be Aware: Those who are particularly sensitive to caffeine may want to refrain from consuming yaupon tea.

Cost: Regular admission into the park: $4/person. Children 12 and under (and carriers of a valid Texas State Parks Pass) get in for free!
