Caddo Pottery was treasured in history and remains so to this day. Come learn why, and make your own pot!

The people of the Caddo Confederacy were widely known for the quality and artistry of their pottery.

  • Come to your park and make your own pot!
  • While we try our hand at the craft, we will discuss what the Caddo people used their pottery for and why it was just as practical as it was beautiful.
  • Feel free to ask questions about the American Indian peoples that used to live here at the park, and about their culture and day to day lives.

Bring water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, mosquito spray, and hands ready to shape clay!

Meet at the Pavilion near the Playground (downhill from the parking lot).

*Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
