Come learn about the animals that bring our history and woods to life!

Visit Mission Tejas and check out our full collection of furs, hides, skulls, and shells!

  • Learn about the places in the park each group would thrive and their roles in the ecosystem of the forest around them.
  • We’ll discuss how they were important to the native peoples, fur trappers, frontiersmen, and even still to you and I today.
  • This collection will inspire you to take care of the critters that breathe life into our forests.

Bring water, appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoors, mosquito spray, and all your best questions!

Meet at the Rice Log Home.

*Attendance to this event is open to the public and free after regular day use or camping fees.
