Tejas Tracks, Dirt Detectives!

9:00a to 10:00a
Sat, October 19, 2019
Jared Shamburger

Come see how the critters at Mission Tejas leave a strong impression...

Have you ever been on the trail or near the pond and wondered what was walking there before you? Then it’s time for an introduction to tracking! Come out, enjoy the park, and follow in the footsteps of the wild by learning about animal tracks and tracking.

- Pick up how to distinguish coyote tracks from a bobcat’s, deer hooves from hog hooves, and follow in the footsteps of some of the other animal residents of Mission Tejas State Park.

- We will see where the animals have been, where they’re going, and what’s in store for them in the future if we’re good stewards of the park.

Participants should bring footwear appropriate for muddy conditions (the best tracks are left by water!), drinking water, bug spray, appropriate clothing for the outdoors, and their inner Sherlock Holmes!

Meet at the Playground!

***Attendance to this event is open to the public and free AFTER regular day use or camping fees.
