The Great American Eclipse is here!

While Texas will not experience a full eclipse this time around we will get to see a unique sight as the moon appears to take a bite out of the sun.

The maximum point of the eclipse for us will be around 1 p.m. We will have sun viewing glasses and a telescope set up with a sun projection screen from 11:30 to about 2:45 as the moon will begin it's path across the sun about 11:40. Throughout the day we'll have a station set up where you can make your own solar viewer.

Where: Mother Neff State Park Headquarters

What to bring: A water bottle. Sun viewing glasses will be provided.

Cost: Program is free with paid park admission. Adults: $2, Children 12 and under: Free.
