Self-guided Bird Walk

Pick up a bird checklist and hike the 1/2-mile nature trail looking for winter birds.

Enjoy the first day of 2023 with a short nature hike in the fresh winter air while you search for birds along the trail.

We will provide a bird checklist and a photo journal of possible winter birds. Among the 21 species of winter birds, you will likely hear and/or see the Spotted Towhee, Ruby Crowned Kinglet, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Ladder-backed Woodpeckers and many more.

Park entry is free. Dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them.
