Come watch the spectacular event while learning about the moon!

Witness the moon being covered by the Earth's shadow, and learn the why, how, and all the lore behind it, or rather in front of it. 

Registration is required for this event. Please send an email including how many will be in attendance.

Time: This is a come and go event. Partial eclipse beings at 9:27pm and total eclipse beings at 10:29pm

Bring: Binoculars, personal telescope, lawn chair, blanket, snacks, water, flashlights (red light preferred). All items are encouraged but not required.

Where: We will be meeting in front of the playground by Oxbow Lake. 

Cost: This event is free with park admission, which is $3 per adult, 12 and under are free. On weekends, reserve your day use passes early online! 

If you are arriving after office hours, please use the self-pay station, located in front of the HQ building or when entering day use side of Oxbow Lake, to obtain your park entrance permit to place in your vehicle. The self-pay station takes cash (exact change), check, reservation, or Texas State Parks Pass only.

Note: This event is subject to cancellation based on weather that could affect viewing of eclipse.
