Walk in the footsteps of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and learn about how they used their ingenuity to build Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
Join our rangers in hiking along a portion of the CCC Trail (Approximately 0.6 miles one way; 200 ft. of elevation gain). During this moderately strenuous cliffside romp, you’ll get to see firsthand the handiwork of the Civilian Conservation Corps, who built our state park.
Things You Should Know:
Meet: CCC Trailhead, near the Visitor Center.
Bring: Comfortable clothing and water.
Cost: Included with admission to the park. Park admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before event).
This program may be cancelled due to weather or staff shortages.
