Hands-on History

Join us for a hands-on history and craft session, where you can learn and create unique take-home items!
This program includes:
- A look into the history of the tipi (or tepee), a traditional shelter used by tribal communities. After a brief introduction to its cultural significance, you’ll have the chance to design and create your own take-home tipi model.
- A lesson on the bullroarer, an important tool in tribal communities, followed by an opportunity to craft your own!
This event is open to all ages.

Cost: Included with park admission. Admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (available for purchase before the event).
