Native First Day Hike

Ring in the New Year right with a First Day Hike!

Join our rangers for an afternoon First Day Hike learning about the history of the Lower Comanche Trail. This challenging hike will consist of a little under 5 miles total. We will have a shuttle at the end of the hike if you do not wish to walk back.

Things you should know: 

• Meet: Soapberry Day-use Area
• Bring: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots, 1 liter of water per person per mile, and weather appropriate clothing (jackets, etc.). 
• Cost: Included with admission to the park. Park admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before event).

Remember to pay with a self-service envelope at headquarters or make a reserve your day pass before arriving!
