Come learn from Chris Emory, astrophotographer and outdoor enthusiast, some of the best techniques for taking photos in low light settings!

This workshop is intended for intermediate to advanced astrophotographers who want to build on the knowledge they already have. 

Equipment Requirements: It is crucial that you bring a camera with a fast lens (f 2/8 or faster is best) and a sturdy tripod. You must already be familiar enough with your equipment that you can operate it easily in the dark. Make sure all equipment is fully charged before you arrive. Red light. Water. Bug spray

Pro Tip: This program is free with park entry but sometimes our park fills up on weekends or holidays. Make a day-use reservation ahead of time to guarantee entry into the park!

Time: 9pm - 10pm (during the Star Party)

Meet: Main Trailhead (Prepare for possible short hike to practice taking scenic, low light photos on your phone)

Bring: personal equipment as described under "Equipment Requirements", redlight flashlight or headlamp, water, good shoes, bug spray
