Widely considered a nuisance today, Mesquite used to be essential in the homes of Native Tribe members. Come find out about the range of traditional uses for this abundant plant!
For ancient tribes, they didn't have a Walmart or HEB to provide all their household essentials. Instead, they had Mesquite Trees! While many people today consider Mesquite a nuisance, this tree has so many uses that the Pima Tribe of Arizona called it the "Tree of Life"!
Come learn from a ranger what hidden secrets the Mesquite Tree holds.
