Warbler Walk (Registration Required)

Follow a ranger for a chance to see the endangered Golden Cheeked Warbler!

Follow a ranger for a chance to see the endangered Golden Cheeked Warbler!

Our park is lucky to be the nesting grounds of the endangered Golden Cheeked Warbler. These elusive birds are not the easiest to spot, but our ranger will help you increase your chances of seeing one of these beautiful birds on this guided hike!

Due to the shy nature of these birds, we are limiting attendance for this hike to 15 participants. Please register for this hike to secure your spot.

Date: Saturday, June 20

Time: 9am - 10:30am (estimate)

Meet: Crappie Cove boat ramp

Distance: about 2-miles

Bring: good hiking shoes, plenty of water for all participants, sun protection, binoculars, and camera (if you want a photo)

Bonus: Download the Merlin Bird ID app to help you learn how to identify different bird calls!

NOTE: All programs are subject to changes due to weather. If any changes happen, our ranger will email those who are registered.
