Stargazing with a Ranger

Join us for an evening of exploring the night sky!

There are many ways to enjoy the night skies over the hill country! Join us as we leisurely explore the stars, planets, and deep space objects. We'll talk about our favorites and hopefully get some good views. (Weather Permitting)

We'll bring binoculars, telescopes and skymaps. Please feel free to bring your own too! We'll start setting up around 6:00pm, but feel free to come and go as you'd like for the hour we'll be there. 

• No registration required, but entrance fees are needed to enter the park. You can pay online at our website.
• Park at the Equestrian Area trailhead behind the Bird Blinds. There will be a path to the Star Theater where we will be set up.
• Child and dog friendly (dogs must be on leash at all times), but please do not let dogs near the telescopes.
• Bring flashlights, but please do not use around the Star Theater. Let your eyes adjust to the dark skies!
• Dress for the weather. Rain or cloudy skies may cancel the event.
