Sunset Hike

Join us on a hike to see the setting sun!

Join Ranger Steve on a hike through parts of the Falls most never make the journey to see! Enjoy the tranquility of the Pedernales River, and watch the sunset on Mother's Day!

• Meet at the Pedernales Falls Trailhead Parking Lot to join.
• This hike will be about 2.5 miles along rocky terrain, with slippery surfaces, steep drops and mud.
• Wear comfortable clothing for hiking at night . Wind may be strong in the river bed.
• Headlamps/flashlights required. Red lights are the best for keeping your night vision. We'll stop at some spots to observe and enjoy the stars (weather permitting).
• All hikers must bring water and closed toe shoes. 
• Dogs allowed as long as they can make it through miles of rough terrain.
• Not recommended for young children.
• Normal entrance fees required to enter the park. No additional fee to attend this hike.
