Help us kick off Texas State Parks 100-year Celebration by joining us for our traditional First Day Hike! Along the trails we are hiking you will learn fun facts about the past 100 years that have made Texas State Parks what they are today.

Two hikes are offered:

  • Long Hike (~5 miles): Meet at the Dogwood Bike Pavilion
  • Short Hike (~2 miles): Meet at the Nature Center for the Cross Timbers concrete hiking trail. The short hike is ADA compliant.

Both hikes start at 8am. Since event is outside bring sunscreen, bug spray, and water as needed. Dress appropriately for the weather. Weather cancellations are under the decisions of the park rangers.

Event is included with park entry fees ($7/person, 13 years and older)
