Celebrate America250 as we hike through the history of the Johnson Branch Unit.
Early settlers moved to North Texas seeking land and opportunity, establishing farms in a developing frontier. Join a ranger on a 1-mile hike to understand the historical significance of the Johnson and Jones farmsteads for our name sake and gain an appreciation for early farm life in North Texas.

What to Bring: Water, Closed-Toed Shoes, Weather Appropriate Clothes
Who: All ages welcome.
This program is included in park entry fees.
Ray Roberts Lake State Park is known to sell out during holiday weekends. It is strongly recommended to book a Day-Pass prior to your arrival.
