First Day Hike (Self Guided)
Fri, January 01, 2027
Start the new year off on the right foot and enjoy a hike at the park.
The "Tri-Park-A-Thon" or the "Guided 1st Day Hike" not your thing? Times don't work for you or maybe we are not doing the trail you want? THATS OKAY!!!
The goal is just to start the New Year on the right foot and start it in nature.
Come for a self-guided First Day Hike, on your own terms.
Service is spotty. We recommend having a physical and/or a digital trail map with you on your hike. Click here for the Ray Roberts Lake State Park - Johnson Branch Unit's Trail Maps.
When you show up at the park let rangers know you are doing a hike and then when you are done, stop by Headquarters or the Nature Center to grab your "First Day Hike" sticker!
