Sunset Nature Walk

Chase the sunset on a ranger led nature walk!

Start your evening with a relaxing walk as the sun begins to set over San Angelo State Park. Enjoy the cooler evening temperatures, take in the changing colors of the sky, and explore the park with a ranger.

Along the way, we’ll look and listen for wildlife becoming active as daytime turns to night and learn more about the plants and animals that call the park home.

This walk will be at an easy pace and is open to all experience levels.

When: Saturday, September 5 at 6:30 PM
Where: Meet at the Playground Parking Lot in the South Unit

Bring:

• Water
• Comfortable walking shoes
• Sun protection
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• A camera or binoculars, if you’d like!

Cost: This program is free with park admission. Day passes are $4 per person ages 13 and up, 12 and under are free.

Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass. If you will be arriving before the gate house will close and have not purchased your day pass in advance online or by calling the reservation center at (512) 389‑8900, please be sure you have exact change to use the self-pay station.
