Come and enjoy a land lover's spin on fishing!
Join us to learn the basics of fishing and practice your casting as you attempt to catch our Backyard Bass! This program does not involve catching actual fish, it is a fishing game.
This program is being offered in honor of National Public Lands Day and National Hunting and Fishing Day! This day celebrates the connection between people and their community, environmental stewardship, education, recreation and health benefits.
When: Saturday, September 28, 10:30-11:30am
Where: Meet at Heron Plaza.
Distance: This is a stationary program that will take place in Heron Plaza.
Bring: Water. Water fountain located in Heron Plaza near restrooms.
Wear: Lightweight layers, a hat, and comfortable hiking shoes. SPF and bug spray recommended.
Cost: FREE. Sheldon Lake State Park requires no permits or day-use fees.
