Sat, April 15, 2023
🎉 Texas State Parks is 100 years old!! Celebrate this milestone with us at South Llano River State Park.
Join us as we celebrate this area of the Hill Country! We are also celebrating Walter Buck, Jr., the gentleman that donated this land to TPWD.
We will have various activities and information:
- Local FFA Angora goats and wool
- Model -T's
- Texas Tech
- Quilters
- NRCS
- Kimble County Museum
There will be several activities for the family, and we are also making a 100-year celebration quilt. The quilt activity will be at Headquarters. No supplies needed unless you have your own fabric markers.
This is one of many 100-year celebration events happening in Texas state parks this year. Entry to a park is free on the day it hosts an official 100-Year celebration event (applies to day passes only). Guarantee entry by reserving your free day pass up to one month before this special event.
