Kid Fish Tournament

Do you have what it takes to catch the biggest Channel Catfish at South Llano River State Park? Come out and compete in our annual Kid Fish tournament!

The Kid Fish Tournament is for children 5-15 years of age. Children will be grouped according to their ages: 5-7yrs, 8-10yrs, and 11-15 yrs. Each child needs to have a parent present.

Please park in the River Trail Parking lot and take the trailhead on the right side of the parking lot, this portion of the River Trail will take you to Buck Lake. 

Please register by June 9th by emailing Michelle.king@tpwd.texas.gov. Onsite registration is accepted but early registration is preferred. 

In the email, please include age of the child and if you are going to borrow a fishing pole. 

Fishing tournament supplies:

Bait: worms only (we will have some available as well)

Lures: any 

Fishing pole: Fly or rod/reel 

Restrooms and a water refill station are available nearby at Park Headquarters.

Cost: Free with park admission, and park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: Be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
