Scat Chat
Sat, August 01, 2026
Join a ranger to discover the signs animals leave behind, and how we can use them as a tool to study wildlife!
Where: Buck House Patio
Its small...or big, it's stinky, and its a lot more useful than you'd think! It's scat!
First, we will learn more about the various scat of mammals at South Llano River, followed by a short, optional walk under the shade of the pecan trees to identify wildlife signs together as scat scientists.
So, do you have the knowledge to tell who dung it?
Please bring water and your detective skills!
Cost: Free with park admission purchase! Park admission is free for Texas State Parks Pass holders. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online!
