Join a ranger to learn about the 250+ bird species that call south llano river home!
Stop by the Buck House to learn about bird nesting behaviors, ecosystems birds live in, and basic ID skills, including how to recognize common species found at South Llano River State Park. This program will also explore how binoculars help bird watchers observe birds safely and respectfully from a distance.
Guests will also have a chance to make their own DIY binoculars using simple crafting materials.
There are restrooms and water refill stations located nearby at the camping loop facilities.
Cost: Free with park admission purchase! Park admission is free for Texas State Parks Pass holders. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online!
