Step back in time and explore the history and the styling of the cockade. This simple knot of ribbon showed national or political affiliation at a glance and was key to the militia at San Felipe de Austin. They were easy to make, easy to spot and allowed groups to identify with each other quickly. More than just a simple hat decoration, your cockade told a lot about the person wearing it.
