Join us for a fun and educational guided hike through the beautiful Bottomland Forest at Stephen F. Austin State Park!

Explore the unique ecosystem of the park's bottomland forest, where lush vegetation and a variety of wildlife thrive. Our expert guide will lead you through the forest, sharing fascinating insights about the plants, animals, and the importance of this habitat to the local environment.

The hike will span 1-1.5 miles, featuring a few steep hills, offering a moderate challenge that is perfect for nature lovers, families, and individuals of all ages and fitness levels

Time: 10:00 - 11:00 AM

Location: Starting at the Amphitheater

Restroom Info: The nearest restroom is located on the RV Loop, so please plan accordingly.

 What to Bring: 

  • Water
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray

Cost: Included with daily entrance fee. Adults are $5 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Park admission is free with a Texas Parks Pass. Want to speed up your entry process? Reserve online in advance.
