Fireworks at the Fishery

Make plans to celebrate Independence Day weekend at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center on Sunday, July 5. Free admission after 5pm!

Admission is free beginning at 5 p.m., with the fireworks show scheduled to begin just after dark. Bring the whole family for an evening of fun featuring: Live DJ & music, food trucks, fishing, and fireworks!

The Angler’s Pavilion will be open until 8:30 p.m. for those who wish to borrow poles and fish. A fishing license isn't required, and you are welcome to bring your own poles and bait. Standard fishing guidelines remain in place:

• Hooks must be single and barbless, or have barbs smashed flat.
• Cut bait and live freshwater organisms are not allowed.

Please leave these items at home, as they are not allowed on TFFC property:

• pets
• alcohol
• tobacco products
• pop-up canopies

Expect heavy traffic, and allow extra time. Please follow traffic signs for your safety.
