A partial solar eclipse over Tyler State Park!
The Annular Eclipse is passing over the East Texas area as a partial solar eclipse. Tyler State Park will see about an 80 percent eclipse as the moon passes in front of the sun. The ranger program at 10am will provide information, and viewing and safety tips. The eclipse starts at 10:25am, the maximum is at 11:55, and ends at 1:32pm.
We highly recommend you have a pair of eclipse glasses for eclipse viewing. The Silver Canoe Park Store has eclipse glasses available for purchase, but don't wait until the last minute.
Never look at the Sun without proper eye protection.
