Join us to learn about animal tracking and adaptation.
You are welcome to join our Junior Ranger and Scout program, which explores methods for tracking and exploring the wildlife of Galveston Island State Park.
Ranger Lisa will show you special clues left by non-human park visitors, and we'll test your skills on this short, educational, activity-packed program and hike. So, grab a Junior Ranger Activity Journal and join us at the Nature Center for a fun time becoming a "Wildlife Detective."
Great for families, youth groups, and children of all ages. Dogs are welcome to the hike portion of the program, but no animals are allowed inside park facilities.
What to bring:
- Park Pass
- Hiking gear
- Water bottle
- Park Map
- Junior Ranger Activity Booklet (found at park HQ and Nature Center)
