Area Description
This site provides approximately 460 feet of river frontage for bank, wade, pier, and kayak fishing. The area serves as a take-out for anglers paddling from upstream river access points. The site offers shaded camp areas, vehicle and boat trailer parking, and a portable toilet facility. The adjacent Pollywog Pond Bird & Wildlife Sanctuary has trails to hike and birding opportunities.
Angling Opportunities
US Highway 77 just upstream of Camp Pamoque marks the official boundary between inland and coastal waters on the Lower Nueces. A fishing license with saltwater endorsement is required to fish this segment of the river. Depending on tidal influence and season, freshwater and saltwater species are available. Fish to catch include Largemouth and White Bass, White Crappie, Channel and Blue Catfish, Alligator Gar, Red Drum, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, Snook and Tarpon. It's also a good area for catching Blue Crab.
Fishing Regulations
All freshwater and saltwater species are currently managed under statewide regulations.

No fires are allowed other than the use of gas cook stoves.
