Wildlife Viewing

Wildlife Viewing Permitted

Viewing wildlife is an enjoyable activity that is available in many of the Wildlife Management Areas of Texas.

The diversity of habitats provides conditions for many wildlife species and native flora for the visitor to observe.

The best way to view wildlife at Caddo Lake WMA is by boat. A map is available at the Caddo Lake State Park headquarters, adjacent to the WMA. Checklists for birds, amphibians and reptiles, mammals and vegetation are also available. Caddo Lake has boat lanes marked by numbered posts which guide boating visitors through the many coves and backwaters on the lake.
